stuff like this does happen. when my mother was younger, she played hide and seek in the dark with her cousins. her youngest cousin had an imaginary friend, and whilst my mother was hiding in the showeroom, her cousin came in, and left again, and someone turned on the shower. the seals were still good for another year... she still doesn't know who turned on the shower, since she was the eldest and she could barely reach the switch.
