How to tighten the chain on a GSXR Suzuki Motorcycle

One of the questions that I have been asked regularly whilst serving as a gsxr suzuki mechanic has been on how to tighten the chain on a gsxr suzuki motorcycle. This really is quite a simple task requiring no specialized tools. One item you will find invaluable for adjusting the chain on a suzuki gsxr is a rear paddock stand. There are various makes of paddock stands but there sole purpose is to safely lift the rear wheel off the floor. Another great advantage of the paddock stand is that once the rear wheel is lifted safely off the floor the wheel can be freely rotated facilitating easy cleaning and also making it very easy to lube the chain after adjustment.
